Job Description

SPM Malvern is gearing up for our busy season and are putting together motivated teams at our modern processing plant near Christchurch to help get NZ sheep and beef from our backyard to customers plates. No prior experience necessary as training is provided, you simply need to be keen for some hands-on work as part of a motivated crew!

Reliable and hard working with a positive attitude, you know if a job's worth doing, it's worth doing right. Plus, you'll like to keep fit and healthy and seek a workplace where it's all go.

We're building teams to fill a wide range of roles. You could be out in the stockyards or in the cold-stores, a butcher, boner, machine operator or labourer - wherever works best. We'll bring you up to speed right there on the job, so you can learn while you earn!

We are seeking applicants for a variety of processing roles across both day and night shift.

Successful applicants must:

  • always put safety first
  • be keen to learn new skills
  • be able to work on a night shift roster including weekends
  • enjoy working in a diverse team


If you are already experienced in knife handling or meat processing, that’s great we need talented people like you and we invite you to apply as well
