Your Role

Are you a powerhouse in sales, eager to make an unforgettable impact? Do you thrive in high-energy, fast-paced environments and have a knack for building relationships and closing deals?

In this exciting role, you’ll be at the heart of our growth strategy, playing a critical role in expanding ZURU’s presence within grocery stores across the North Island. You will build and nurture relationships with store managers, ensure optimal product placement, and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth.

Sales and account management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with grocery store managers, buyers, and key decision-makers, particularly within Pak N Save locations.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets by presenting ZURU’s product range and negotiating shelf placements and promotional opportunities.


Get into stores, provide insights and updates on results:

  • Regularly visit stores across the North Island to strengthen partnerships and assess in-store opportunities.
  • Manage and optimise call cycles to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand product distribution into additional grocery stores.
  • Provide regular updates on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, call cycles, and customer feedback.


Execution excellence:

  • Ensure ZURU products are displayed prominently and according to planograms.
  • Monitor stock levels in stores, suggest reorders, and prevent out-of-stock situations.
  • Implement promotional activities and in-store campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team.


Event and Trade Show support:

  • Represent ZURU at regional trade shows, industry events, and in-store promotional events as needed.
  • Set up displays and conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and store staff.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in field sales within the FMCG or grocery sector.
  • Strong understanding of the New Zealand grocery landscape, including Pak N Save + New World stores.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently on the road.
  • Valid New Zealand driver’s license and ability to travel frequently across the North Island (Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga)
