Join the Team at Masterton’s Local Plant Nursery!
Location: Masterton
Start Date: Tuesday, 29th April 2025
End Date: Friday, 26th September 2025
Position: Plant Nursery Worker (Temporary)

Working Hours:

  • Tuesday to Friday: 9:30am to 4:00pm
  • Saturday: 8:00am to 12:00pm
  • Total Weekly Hours: 28 hours


Role Overview:
We’re seeking a dedicated individual to join the team working in a local plant nursery in Masterton. This position involves plenty of physical work, including planting, maintaining, and caring for a wide variety of plants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the daily care and maintenance of plants, including planting, potting, and watering
  • General nursery upkeep including weeding, mulching, and fertilising
  • Physical tasks such as lifting and moving plant trays, bags of soil, and other materials
  • Work alongside the team to ensure the smooth running of the nursery operations


What We’re Looking For:

  • A strong work ethic and willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved
  • Ability to work well in a physically demanding environment
  • Punctual, reliable, and a team player
  • Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, or a similar field would be an advantage, but not essential
