About the Company: Our client is a well-established player in the Civil and Construction industry, with a strong presence in both residential and commercial projects across Auckland. They are now looking for an energetic and organized administrator to join their dynamic team.
Role Overview: As an Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the business. You'll work closely with the business owners, handling a variety of administration tasks. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently will be essential in ensuring the smooth running of the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls to the reception
- Greet and assist visitors, ensuring a positive experience, including arranging refreshments when required
- Communicate with contractors and suppliers
- Manage stationery orders and inventory
- Ensure the kitchen is stocked with essential supplies like coffee and tea
- Provide general administrative support as required
- Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures
- Adhere to health and safety procedures in line with the Health & Safety at Work Act
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested by the employer
- Assist with basic finance-related tasks
- Carry out data entry tasks
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- High level of confidentiality and discretion
- Previous administrative experience, ideally within the construction industry
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships internally and externally
