Marketing Manager – 12month fixed term – maternity leave cover (Full-Time)

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on marketing manager to join my client's team for an exciting new challenge. My client owns a prominent and well-known brand operating in the trades and service space with offices in Queenstown, Wanaka and further afield in the South Island. We are seeking a Marketing Manager to take charge of marketing strategy and execution across multiple branch locations and for the group function.

This is a 12-month maternity leave fixed-term contract, full-time position, offering a fantastic opportunity to drive brand growth, engagement, and visibility. Our ideal candidate will be based in either Queenstown or Wanaka.

About the Role: As the Marketing Manager, you will oversee all aspects of marketing at both the branch and group level. You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies, managing campaigns, optimising digital presence, and leading the department. Your work will directly contribute to increasing brand awareness and generating leads through a mix of digital and traditional marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy & Campaigns – Develop and execute localised marketing plans and lead branch marketing discussions.
Brand Management – Maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials and educate team members on brand standards.
Digital Marketing & SEO – Oversee website updates, optimise for SEO, and manage paid advertising initiatives (Google Ads, social media).
Content Management – Collaborate with the Digital Content Producer to create engaging, high-quality content.
Analytics & Reporting – Monitor marketing KPIs, analyse campaign performance, and present actionable insights.

What You’ll Need:
Experience: Minimum 5 years in a marketing leadership role.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent experience.
Skills: Strong proficiency in digital marketing tools (Google Analytics, Meta Ads, Google Ads, Tag Manager).
Tech-Savvy: Experience with website management and backend platforms.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team.
Creativity & Problem-Solving: Ability to develop innovative campaigns and adapt strategies to meet business goals.
