Job Description

Metal Fabricators required throughout the Northland region!

OneStaff is looking for an experienced Metal Fabricator for multiple roles! You will need to be reliable and motivated. You might be asked to work across the country to assist with our
projects, so flexibility on work locations is preferred. The normal duties to be performed comprise all activities related to marking, cutting, shaping, welding and assembling steel and other metal materials to create or repair metal structures and products including but not limited to:

Duties include:

  • Understanding and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications and required materials
  • Cutting and shaping metal using tools like saws, shears, lasers, plasma cutters and metal cutting materials
  • Preparing metal for fabrication
  • Welding metal pieces together using techniques like MIG, TIG or stick welding
  • Fitting and assembling metal parts, ensuring precise alignment
  • Securing parts with bolts, rivets or welding
  • Inspecting finished products for defects, ensuring all welds, joints and parts meet quality standard and making any necessary adjustments
  • Adhering to health & safety protocols



Skills and experience required:

  • 3 years of relevant experience OR relevant qualification
  • Reliable and hardworking
  • Be physically fit
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety best practice


Pay conditions: Minimum of $29.66 to $32.00 per hour
Hours of work: Minimum of 30 hours of work is guaranteed

You may be required to work in multiple locations throughout New Zealand, including Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Whanganui-Manawatu, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, Southland, Otago & Westcoast region.

This is a full-time role. Applicants must be a NZ Citizen/Resident or should have a valid NZ work visa.
