Site Engineer – Civil Southern Team (Hornby, Christchurch)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Engineer to join our client’s Civil Southern team based in Hornby, Christchurch, working on a variety of projects across Canterbury. If you’ve completed your grad program and have at least 1 year of relevant experience in heavy civil, this is the perfect opportunity to further develop your career.

You will be responsible for:

  • Delivering quality civil projects on time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Providing specialized technical advice as needed.
  • Managing and motivating effective project teams and subcontractors.
  • Championing health and safety on site.
  • Collaborating with managers and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.


Skills and experience that will ensure your success:

  • Civil Engineering degree, equivalent qualification, or significant experience in the field.
  • Proven experience working on 3-water projects, pump stations, treatment plants, utilities, roading, deep trenching, and other civil construction works.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Financial acumen to deliver projects within budget.
  • Experience managing diverse teams and a range of projects.
