Job Description

Do you have a Class 4 Driver Licence (heavy vehicle) and experience in earth moving/civil construction?

Are you fit, able-bodied, and physically capable of carrying out a blend of driving-labouring tasks?

If you said "YES" to all of the above, then we want to talk to you!

Be a part of the civil construction ground crew, building and maintaining various roadwork locations throughout Dunedin and surrounding areas.

To be successful in this role you must have current NZ Driver Licence(s), clean driving record, communicate well with others, capable of performing physical tasks and compliant with New Zealand Road Transport regulations.

You will be working within a tight-knit team and under the direction and supervision of the site supervisor.

You will receive induction training on vehicle operation, reporting, pre & post vehicle checks and how to operate as an effective member within civil construction, whilst adhering to workplace health & safety guidelines.

Let's talk about the role:

  • Full-time work schedule, Monday - Friday
  • Work within a team to carry out tasks under the direction of the site supervisor
  • Perform vehicle operator & labouring tasks including, inspections, transferring roading materials, load & unload vehicles, lifting, carrying, digging, cleaning and more
  • Carry out vehicle load checks to and logbook entries to uphold compliance with NZ Road Transport regulations
  • Operate with professionalism

What we are looking for:

  • Attention to detail and adhere Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations
  • NZ Class 4 Driver Licence, Clean driving record with no recent traffic violations
  • Fit and able-bodied and can pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test
