Job Description

The Company

  • We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer (10 years+ exp) to lead the design and delivery of a large-scale land development project.
  • You will join a highly respected, well established multidisciplinary consultancy with expertise across civil, geotechnical, structural and environmental engineering who have some of the best in their business in their team.


The Role

  • The role will be the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale land development project, you will be the lead Civil Engineer responsible for the successful delivery of a large (12ha+) greenfield aged care project, with support from Intermediate Engineers and CAD Technicians.
  • Lead Engineer to deliver the project – end to end project delivery/management
  • Team Management/Leadership to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality. Ensure projects achieve the planned profit
  • Prepare project briefs and fee estimates
  • Contract and financial management
  • Produce research, feasibility studies, designs, calculations, reports and drawings suitable for review purposes and preparation of contract documentation
  • Prepare and implement contract documentation, specifications, schedules and project estimates
  • Undertake construction supervision and contract administration to required company and standard procedures
  • Manage any hazards arising from or associated with projects or activities undertaken are identified, including self-management where appropriate
  • Client liaison / stakeholder engagement


About You

  • Senior Civil Engineer (10+ years’ experience, CPEng preferred)
  • Preferably strong background in NZ greenfield development, preferably within the retirement village sector although not essential
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) essential
  • Proven track record in project delivery/management
  • 12D or similar package
