Geneva Healthcare (part of NZ Health Group) provides a range of personalised programs so people can manage their health and well-being after an injury or illness or living with a disability. Our experienced interdisciplinary team use a person-centered, strength-based, solution- focused approach to suit specific needs. Our Work Solutions team provide a comprehensive range of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) designed to prevent workplace injuries and help individuals recover from an injury or illness successfully, and safely return to work or become work ready. We are a lead provider for the ACC VRS service and have established workflows in vocational rehabilitation to third party and private insurers as well as being preferred providers for a number of large NZ employers.

About the role | He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga

This is a contract role for a registered Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join our team in the Invercargill region working across a number of clients and contracts including ACC Stay at Work and Back to Work Contracts, Private Insurer and Third Part Administrator Return to Work Contracts aiming to support people back to their pre-injury work.

Being a community-based role, the successful candidate will be comfortable working in homes, community and workplace settings. You’ll have the opportunity to meet and work with people from all walks of life so someone who thrives in a people-based role will get a real kick out of the variety in this position!

You will have the opportunity to be a part of our client’s rehabilitation journey and see the results of your work. You’ll be working in schools, homes, businesses and the wider community so we are looking for a candidate who gets a real kick out of collaboration and supporting client’s across their recovery.

The successful candidate will be required to travel across the Invercargill region so you will need to be comfortable driving and have a full clean NZ drivers licence.

What you will bring | Ngā tohungatanga mō tēnei tūranga

  • 2+ years’ experience as a NZ Registered Occupational Therapist OR Physiotherapist, post graduate qualification in Vocational Rehab is an advantage, but not essential.
  • Experience with Vocational Rehabilitation and ACC Vocational Rehabilitation Services Contracts is preferable, but not essential.
  • Understanding of, and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
  • Current NZ Registration with NZOT or NZPT.
  • Passion to continue to learn and grow.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • An awareness of Health Legislation and the NZ health funding systems.
  • Ability to travel and work autonomously.
