Alignz Recruitment is a 100% NZ owned and operated recruitment company, that has been delivering recruitment and staffing solutions across New Zealand for over 20 years to the Civil, Construction, Infrastructure, Transport & Logistics, Manufacturing, Trades & Services and Commercial industries.

We have a client who are a well-established company in New Zealand with over 20 years in the Pipe industry, and having completed many large-scale projects throughout New Zealand, making it one of the major operators in the Pipe Industry.
Our client are experts in pipe works and projects from steam, medical gases, process pipework and Petro -chemical, as well as possessing Welding capabilities and with major focus on quality assurances and Health & Safety requirements across the Pipe Industry.

We are in search of applicants with Pipe Fitting skills and experiences in the following areas of the Pipe Industry:

  • Industrial/commercial level HVAC installation
  • Stainless steel piping system prep and installations
  • Ammonia industrial plant pipe/system installations
  • Laboratory plants/facilities gas/steam pipe installations
  • Hospital and Medical facilities cold/hot water pipe installations
  • Wastewater and treatment plant/facilities installations
  • Ducting industrial/commercial level system installations
  • Fuel line installations


To be successful in this role, you will need to have 2 + years of proven skills and experiences in the following key areas of the Pipe Fitter role:

  • Reading/understanding and following construction/piping installation plans.
  • Cutting and preparing pipe materials
  • Fitting brackets and supports of structure and pipe systems.
  • Fitting piping materials/systems by using tools and equipment as required to meet required standards.
  • Welding of steel pipe materials and systems
  • Working on sites/projects supervised or unsupervised.
  • Working in and around well-established industrial/commercial plant sites, pumps, boilers, chillers, piping, drainage, and mechanical facilities.
  • Working on new industrial/commercial construction sites, confined spaces, or potentially hazardous environments.
  • Communicating with other team members and other contractors on site
  • Problem solving on working sites and projects.
  • Following required H&S policies and compliances.
  • Other requirements for this Pipe Fitter role:
  • Pass a Drug Test
  • Full Drivers Licence.
  • Welding certificates
  • Be prepared to travel outside of Auckland to work and complete projects.

  • $28 - $32 per hour (depending on skills and experiences)
