We are currently looking for an experienced Food Safety, Quality and Compliance Officer to join our growing team!

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Qualifications: in Food Science, Microbiology, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • HACCP training (an advantage).
  • Experience in the NZ food industry, preferably in quality assurance or control.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent organisational abilities.
  • A flexible approach to work, including early morning, late afternoon, when required.
  • Strong multi-tasking and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Great initiative and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound judgement and analytical thinking.
  • Team player with great communication skills, with a willingness to get stuck in and support our production crew.
  • Able to work independently and prioritise tasks.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing demands.


This is an important role within our business, where you'll be responsible for:

  • Ensuring compliance with Food Safety Plan, other certification programs and regulatory requirements.
  • Assisting with internal and external food safety audits.
  • Conducting product and process testing to maintain quality assurance.
  • Reviewing and processing deviations, non-conforming products, and corrective actions.
  • Overseeing quality control of all incoming goods and production processes.
  • Assisting with Health & Safety compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participating in the investigation of manufacturing-failures; identifying root cause, communicating and being involved with the necessary corrective action.

This is a Monday - Friday, 40-hour per week role, with some flexibility around finish times each day. We are looking for an early riser for 7:00am starts Monday to Thursday to support our production team, with remaining hours of work on Friday.

We are anticipating a start date around the mid to late June.
