Job Description

We are looking for experienced qualified Head Chef, Sous chef, Bartender, barista, kitchen hand and wait staff for a new restaurant opening at Marsden cove Marina, One tree point.

The successful candidate will be agile, have a can do attitude, work well in a high pressure environment and seek to stretch their career.
Candidate must be able to prepare menus
European cooking : including pizza and pasta meals.

Qualifications & experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef
  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge
  • Passion and flair for food presentation.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and compliance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent English communication skills are essential for this role


Tasks & responsibilities

  • Manage kitchen operations, including rosters, ordering and inventory management
  • Execute and develop the current menu to meet the highest culinary standards
  • Suggest, receive and implement changes in operations, service and menu.
  • Lead and manage kitchen staff
  • Ensure all food safety compliance and regulations are met
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised kitchen environment.
  • Work diligently and independently with minimal supervision
  • Monitor and control food costs.
  • Flexibility to work up to 6 days. Evenings, some weekends and public holidays.


Must have valid work permit or New Zealand permanent resident
