Join Compass Group NZ as a Quality Assurance Officer in Hamilton and play a pivotal role in enhancing quality assurance across our central production units. This role is essential for maintaining and improving our quality systems, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and supporting our teams to deliver safe and high-quality food.
Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:
- Quality Systems Maintenance: Manage and maintain the Quality Assurance Programme, ensuring conformity to the custom Food Control Plan.
- Internal Audits: Undertake assigned internal audits in accordance with the audit programme.
- Customer Complaint Coordination: Respond to customer service requests for investigations into complaints in a timely manner.
- Quality Support: Provide obsessive service and support to internal departments requiring assistance from the quality team.
- Non-Conformance Management: Efficiently manage product and systems non-conformances to ensure compliance with specifications.
He kōrero mōu / About you:
- Food Safety Knowledge: Detailed knowledge of food safety legislation, standards, and codes.
- Quality Management Experience: Demonstrated experience implementing food control plans, quality management systems, and incident investigations.
- Auditing Skills: Food safety auditing experience and experience in coordinating Quality Management Systems.
- Continuous Improvement: Experience in continuous improvement, including tools, investigations, and data analysis.
- Educational Background: Relevant tertiary qualification in Food Science or Food Technology and a minimum of 5 years of Quality Assurance experience in the food industry.
