At Compass Group we have partnered with Air New Zealand as one team to create an incomparable lounge experience, we have an exciting Permanent Full-Time opportunity for a Manager - Service Operations to manage our Compass Group operations within the Air New Zealand Lounge at Christchurch Airport.

The Manager - Service Operations is responsible for a team of Compass Group Lounge Supervisors to drive an engaging service culture that results in a high performing team and delivers an exceptional 'surprise and delight' customer experience.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

The role will include;

  • Coaching, training, development, performance and wellbeing.
  • Sharing the Lounge vision, you will inspire a 'one team' approach to working in the Lounge.
  • You'll combine leadership strengths with expertise in hospitality and customer experience, bringing the premium Lounge experience to life.
  • Supporting the Airline Operations client and contract in accordance with the standards agreed by the Compass Group and the client.
  • A key deliverable is ensuring your contract is compliant and run commercially in line with net growth and retention targets and bringing the joint client and Compass Group Vision & Values to life.

If you're our ideal candidate;

  • you will be an inclusive leader with the ability to form productive relationships with clients and individuals from diverse backgrounds, and proven experience in managing successful teams.
  • You'll have an in depth understanding of Occupational Health, Safety and Environment and ability to apply principles, with single site operational experience in a similar role within the industry.
  • You'll need strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage a budget.
  • You will also have working knowledge of workplace regulations, including agreement requirements, the ability to identify contract retention and new business opportunities, and thorough comprehension of food hygiene practices.
