The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
Join our Whanganui Respite team and be an integral part of promoting wellness. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to support guests to enhance their individual well-being by lending a empathetic ear, facilitating on-site activities like mindfulness and sensory modulation, managing medications, maintaining a spacious residence, preparing nutritious meals, ensuring cleanliness, and welcoming clinical teams.

  • You will work from a trauma informed lens, bring a calm, flexible personality and a can-do attitude.
  • Your ability to remain optimistic and positive in challenging situations will support you to achieve optimal outcomes for our guests.
  • Your communication skills will enhance your professional and friendly manner, while maintaining clear boundaries to provide an environment that supports the achievement of equitable outcomes for all.
  • You will work as part of a motivated Team who are interested in wellbeing and sustainability, and you will receive coaching and mentoring from highly experienced Registered Nurse who leads the service.


2 roles available:
Role 1: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday 7am – 15.30pm; 32 hours per week
Role 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 7am – 15.30pm; 40hrs per week

You | Mōu
We are interested to hear from people who have a caring nature and work in a recovery focused way.

You must hold a current full drivers’ licence
Hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
Level 4 Certificate in Health & Wellbeing
