Quantity Surveyor

About the Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial success of our clients’ construction projects. From estimating costs to managing budgets and preparing reports, your expertise will be instrumental in delivering projects on time and within budget.

Main responsibilities:

  • Manage the full cost management process for a variety of commercial construction projects
  • Administration & document control
  • Develop and manage pricing structure
  • Handle variations, claim and client negotiations
  • Engage and negotiate with subcontractors effectively
  • Tendering experience a bonus
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure cost efficiency
  • Work alongside site administrator to complete council documents including compliance documentation


Qualifications / experience:

  • NZ Quantity Surveyor qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of NZ building codes, standards, and cost management practices
  • Proficient in construction management software and spreadsheets
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider QS team
