Job Description

Job Title: Experienced HVAC Technician

Location: Auckland, New Zealand

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician with a trade qualification NZQA Level 4 or equivalent to join our client’s team in Auckland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for their clients. You will be involved with projects such as DHB’s, Airports, Data Centre's and Commercial Office spaces.


Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local building codes
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in HVAC systems and make necessary repairs
  • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure they operate efficiently and effectively
  • Communicate with clients to determine their HVAC needs and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Estimate costs and provide quotes for HVAC projects and repairs
  • Work independently or as part of a team to complete HVAC installations and repairs in a timely and professional manner



Requirements for this role:

  • Trade qualification NZQA Level 4 or equivalent in HVAC or related field
  • Fully Registered EST License with EWRB
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC technician (Post trade)
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and components
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Valid driver's license
