Mo te tūranga | About the Role:
As an Operations Strategic Project Lead, you will lead a team of Operations Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) representing Operations on bank wide strategic projects revolutionising our operational processes and driving efficiency and effectiveness. You'll have the opportunity to introduce innovative approaches, coach teams towards operational excellence, and champion best practices within ASB.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage Operations SMEs on bank wide strategic projects
- Representing Operations on bank wide strategic projects
- Lead strategic initiatives to optimize operational performance.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and growth mindset.
- Identify automation and digital transformation initiatives.
- Articulating our operations vision through working with stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance and risk management within the Operations Strategic Projects team.
- Lead from the front taking accountability and action oriented
- Focus on SME development to meet project demands.

- Proven track record of delivering significant results in challenging environments.
- Self-starter with a passion for driving change and improvement.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Strong communication and time management abilities.
- Experience in project management and change management.
- 6+ years of experience in banking/financial services.
- Good knowledge / understanding of operations management frameworks, methodologies, and practices (i.e. lean, DMAIC, agile, human centred design).
