The role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to manage and coordinate property inspections, including valuation meetings, pre-settlement inspections, and final inspections for flood damaged properties. This role involves significant communication with property consultants, lawyers, and other relevant parties to ensure a smooth process leading up to settlement.
Key Responsibilities:
Valuation Inspections:
Coordinate and schedule valuation meetings with property consultants
Ensure site safety and address any risks
Guide owners and consultants through the process
Take photos of the site and chattels/fixtures.
Pre-Settlement Inspections:
Ensure site safety and identify risks.
Confirm owner understands post-settlement site expectations.
Address chattels and agreements with consultants/lawyers onsite.
Organize key collection.
Resolve any remaining questions or concerns.
Final Inspections:
Ensure the property is in the expected condition
Confirm all items are onsite, and photograph for documentation
Work with consultants and lawyers to resolve final issues
About You: You’re a practical, solution-focused individual with hands-on experience in the construction and building industry. You bring a solid understanding of building structures, site safety, and effective communication. With the ability to think on your feet, you’re able to handle a variety of challenges and ensure smooth operations on-site.
Previous building experience (example: A builder who can build a dwelling from start to finish, building inspector, surveyor)
Strong understanding of structural engineering, including behavior and loading under stress.
Knowledge of geotechnical issues, such as land movement and its impact on construction.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse stakeholders and diffuse challenging situations.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on site safety and risk assessment.
