The role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to manage and coordinate property inspections, including valuation meetings, pre-settlement inspections, and final inspections for flood damaged properties. This role involves significant communication with property consultants, lawyers, and other relevant parties to ensure a smooth process leading up to settlement.
Key Responsibilities:
Valuation Inspections:
- Coordinate and schedule valuation meetings with property consultants
- Ensure site safety and address any risks
- Guide owners and consultants through the process
- Take photos of the site and chattels/fixtures.
Pre-Settlement Inspections:
- Ensure site safety and identify risks.
- Confirm owner understands post-settlement site expectations.
- Address chattels and agreements with consultants/lawyers onsite.
- Organize key collection.
- Resolve any remaining questions or concerns.
Final Inspections:
- Ensure the property is in the expected condition
- Confirm all items are onsite, and photograph for documentation
- Work with consultants and lawyers to resolve final issues
About You: You’re a practical, solution-focused individual with hands-on experience in the construction and building industry. You bring a solid understanding of building structures, site safety, and effective communication. With the ability to think on your feet, you’re able to handle a variety of challenges and ensure smooth operations on-site.
- Previous building experience (example: A builder who can build a dwelling from start to finish, building inspector, surveyor)
- Strong understanding of structural engineering, including behavior and loading under stress.
- Knowledge of geotechnical issues, such as land movement and its impact on construction.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse stakeholders and diffuse challenging situations.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on site safety and risk assessment.
