The role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to manage and coordinate property inspections, including valuation meetings, pre-settlement inspections, and final inspections for flood damaged properties. This role involves significant communication with property consultants, lawyers, and other relevant parties to ensure a smooth process leading up to settlement.

Key Responsibilities:

Valuation Inspections:

  • Coordinate and schedule valuation meetings with property consultants
  • Ensure site safety and address any risks
  • Guide owners and consultants through the process
  • Take photos of the site and chattels/fixtures.


Pre-Settlement Inspections:

  • Ensure site safety and identify risks.
  • Confirm owner understands post-settlement site expectations.
  • Address chattels and agreements with consultants/lawyers onsite.
  • Organize key collection.
  • Resolve any remaining questions or concerns.


Final Inspections:

  • Ensure the property is in the expected condition
  • Confirm all items are onsite, and photograph for documentation
  • Work with consultants and lawyers to resolve final issues


About You: You’re a practical, solution-focused individual with hands-on experience in the construction and building industry. You bring a solid understanding of building structures, site safety, and effective communication. With the ability to think on your feet, you’re able to handle a variety of challenges and ensure smooth operations on-site.

  • Previous building experience (example: A builder who can build a dwelling from start to finish, building inspector, surveyor)
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering, including behavior and loading under stress.
  • Knowledge of geotechnical issues, such as land movement and its impact on construction.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse stakeholders and diffuse challenging situations.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on site safety and risk assessment.
