Job Description

  • Join fast growing IT industry leader. Amazing career opportunity for 2025!
  • Work hard, listen, learn, hit your targets and grow in your career.
  • Training & Development, Progression & Promotion, Recognition & Reward.

This is an incredibly rare opportunity for a very switched on, highly motivated and ambitious Junior Salesperson to get that first rung on the career ladder in the IT industry.

The Company:
Our client is a very fast-growing, NZ owned and operated IT Managed Services company, that is taking the market by storm. They work with businesses to help manage their IT needs. They support their client’s day to day IT needs and help them navigate increasingly important IT Security issues and ensure they’re making the most of cloud computing and other technologies.

In short, they simplify IT for their clients.

The Opportunity:
They are looking for their next Superstar Salesperson and are committed to train and develop the right person, with the goal of becoming a Business Solutions Manager.

This could take 1-2 years, but in the meantime, you will be learning from the industry’s best and developing those skills needed for you to advance in your career.

The Role:
You will start as a Junior Sales Executive, and it will be your role to contact targeted new business prospects, to secure an introductory meeting. You will tailor your pitch according to your prospects relevant IT needs or concerns.

Once you have secured an appointment, you will accompany the Business Solution Manager, as they work with the new client to uncover their needs and put together a solution that will work with their business.

You will be fully immersed in the sales process, which is important, as this is where you are going to learn.

You will develop your knowledge and ability to have business conversations with clients across all aspects of the sales process.

With time in the field and continued exposure to the company’s products and offerings, and the knowledge gained from more experienced sales team members, you will start developing your own portfolio of clients to manage.

In the meantime, you will get a commission on any closed business that you provided the lead for.

So, while you are learning and developing in your role, you will also be rewarded extremely well for your efforts.

In your first year, we would expect you to be earning in excess of $120K.

A great candidate will earn $150K, or more!

It’s a no brainer right… Training, Career Development, a great bunch of people to work with, an amazing team culture, being part of a company that is growing year on year and the ability to earn a great income. (By the way… if you keep developing within the company, within 3 years, you will be doubling that income).

It is such a great opportunity!

About You: With such a great opportunity on offer, they want to make sure they get the right person.

We are looking for someone who has a hunger to learn and is hugely motivated to achieve. We want those who have a competitive streak and a real “go get ‘em” attitude. Those who are not satisfied with average and will dig deep and go the extra mile to earn their stripes.

What you will bring:

  • Ideally at least one-year experience in sales.
  • A willingness to learn about IT.
  • Articulate. Confident in your own ability to engage and hold conversations with decision makers.
  • At least Restricted Driver’s license
  • Previous phone sales or lead generation experience would be amazing.
  • Hard working to achieve your goals.
  • Able to shirk off rejection and remain positive and keep on going.
  • Good financial / commercial awareness
  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed.
  • Enthusiastic, hardworking, have a "make it happen" attitude.
  • Goal oriented. Ambitious. Huge desire to reach targets and earn commissions.
  • Must own suitable business attire - business suit/ jacket. (Or will get this sorted before they start)

This is not a Call Centre role, but rather the opportunity to establish yourself in an amazing sales team and gain the experience and confidence you need to develop in your career and be successful in this team.

If you are willing to work hard, learn on the job, pick the phone up and blitz your targets, then this could be the role that you will look back on one day, as the one that started your IT sales career. You will be happy that you applied!

The Rewards:

  • A real opportunity to take your skills to the next level and develop in your career.
  • Base $65K + monthly comms
  • Genuine earning potential in your first year = $120K+
  • Work in cool Newmarket offices (pool table, table tennis, bar) with Awesome people
  • Training and Development, Progression and Promotion, Recognition, and Reward.

WE ARE KEEN TO INTERVIEW FOR THIS POSTION BEFORE XMAS, WITH A START DATE IN JAN 2024!

How to Apply: If you believe that you are suitable for this opportunity, you will need to tell me why.
