The Opportunity | Te kōwhiringa

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced ITS Project Manager to join our team in Wellington. Your role will involve direct management of ITS & Traffic Signal maintenance and project activities, client relationship management, and ensuring that all project requirements and financial targets are met. In this key position, you will lead the quoting, and delivery of small to medium electrical, ITS & Traffic Signal projects within the ITS sector.

Key responsibilities of this role also include:

  • Oversee contract performance, ensuring quality standards and timelines are met.
  • Oversea contract performance and delivery, including implementation of delivery management frameworks
  • Maintain oversight of contract costs and budgets. With focus on maximising profitability proactively and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Develop and execute methodologies, budgets, and schedules. Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and manage variation requests effectively
  • Build and nurture relationships with clients and drive business growth, be responsive in our deliverables.
  • Deliver timely and efficient reports to clients and management regarding project status and financial performance


Important Skills | Nga pūkenga matua

  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven management experience with responsibility for staff and plant, and their resourcing.
  • Commercial acumen, with experience in managing contracts and claims.
  • Preference for knowledge of the electrical and maintenance industry, ideally within a large company
  • Strong leadership skills, empowering others and fostering a culture that supports safety, quality and environmental management
  • Current NZ driving licence
