Position Overview
Te Kunenga Ki Pūrehuroa Massey University has an exciting opportunity for you! The role of Finance Administrator, reporting to the Team Lead Accounts Payable and Review, is a great opportunity to put your skills and experience to work, and contribute to this iconic and important institution that has been serving Aotearoa New Zealand for nearly 100 years.

Massey’s Financial Operations Team includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury management, and the expense management activities of the University. This team ensures the efficient, timely, and accurate processing of Massey’s financial transactions. We process more than 200,000 transactions a year!

The salary range for this role is $48,596 to $71,027 based on skills and experience.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Manage the Massey FlexiPurchase credit cards and staff reimbursement processes to ensure that cardholder and staff transactions are processed in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner and comply with relevant Massey policy and procedures.
  • Provide support, training, guidance, and access to online resources to cardholders and staff with all aspects of credit card payments and staff reimbursements.
  • Perform system administration tasks for FlexiPurchase system so that system supports users, and that coding and approvals can be performed in an efficient manner


Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A qualification in a finance field is desirable.
  • Experience in administration of corporate credit cards and or accounts payable in a large organisation.
  • Experience managing high transaction volumes and a wide range of tasks.
  • An outstanding customer service focus and willingness to go above and beyond.
  • Knowledge of financial systems and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Desire to be part of a Tiriti o Waitangi-led institution and contribute to upholding the principles and values of Te Tiriti.
  • Experience with University processes - desirable.
