Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
The Senior Systems Engineer (Applications & Integration) provides technical subject matter expertise in their domain. You will contribute to the technology development, standards and guidelines for your domain and help inform others and ensure a joined-up approach to all aspects of the services. You’ll also act as senior engineer in the Enterprise Services team enabling an effective balance of standard operating with new, between innovation and tried and tested and across optimisation and automation.

The salary band for this role is $79,009 - $111,028, depending on skills and experience.

• Application development, configuration, integration, and support
• Manage application development, configuration, and integration practices
• Ensure applications are supportable and meet service availability
• Ensure security and privacy of information and information flows
• Enable improved user experiences through effective sourcing, implementation, and automation
• Provide expert advice
• Drive change through technical and strategic alignment
• Assist in influencing attitudes, decisions and actions
• Collaborate to meet strategies, plans and targets

Ko koe tēnei | Who You Are

• Tertiary qualification in IT or business management, or equivalent experience
• Extensive experience in IT, particularly in applications and integration
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a senior engineer or senior developer position
• Good experience in rapid application development, preferably PowerApps or other low code no code platforms
• Solid experience in API-based integration and integration platforms
• Proven ability to contribute effectively to projects and stakeholder relationships
• Demonstrated comfort with ambiguity and uncertainty
• Knowledge of strategic IT issues, especially in educational or government contexts
