We are now seeking a talented Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising the warehouse staff, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the warehouse, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Based in our friendly Christchurch team, usual hours are Mon-Fri.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring that all goods are handled safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management in SAP
- Implement and maintain warehouse safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all warehouse equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Manage rolling stock counts and end of year stocktakes
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in a warehouse supervisory or team lead role.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and warehouse management software. Strong knowledge of SAP is preferred.
- Experience with inventory management and control.
- Forklift certification preferred but not essential as training will be provided to the right candidate
