Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity

Downer has been appointed as the asset manager and maintenance contractor, hard and soft services, for the CRL City Rail Link project for a period of up to 30 years under the Asset Management and Services (AMAS) contract with Auckland Transport. The contract delivery period commences at practical completion of the CRL project that is scheduled for 2025.

The Team Leader – Reviewable Services is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and operational execution of cleaning, pest control, and anti-graffiti services across the three new CRL train stations: Maungawhau, Karanga-a-Hape, and Te Waihorotiu. This role ensures service delivery aligns with contract requirements, operational standards, and performance KPIs, while maintaining a safe and high-performing work environment for station operations.

This role operates in a dynamic environment, requiring collaboration with multiple stakeholders. The individual must effectively plan, organise, and prioritise both their own tasks and those of their team to meet tight deadlines, achieve contract performance targets, and maintain a high standard of service delivery.

Flexibility is essential, as the role requires a hands-on approach when necessary to support the management of a 365-day operational service.

  • 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory role within cleaning, facilities management, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate teams in an operational environment.
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements within a public transport or similar setting.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in reporting, compliance monitoring, and quality assurance.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships and build a collaborate culture.
  • Experienced at effective resource planning and scheduling.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple demands.
  • Ability to identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Computer literate, including MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Must hold a current full driver’s license.
