Position Overview: As a Principal level Asbestos Consultant/Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing asbestos-related projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards. Your expertise will guide clients through asbestos management processes, and you will collaborate with a diverse team of professionals to achieve successful project outcomes. You can expect a wide range of large/complex work ranging from DHB's, Universities, to Government clients. No more churning out 15 surveys a day!


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage asbestos management and removal projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Conduct comprehensive asbestos surveys and assessments to identify risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Provide expert guidance on asbestos regulations, compliance, and best practices to clients and project teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and project delivery.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation, including risk assessments, project plans, and compliance reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including contractors and regulatory authorities, to ensure project success.
  • Mentor and support junior consultants to enhance their asbestos management skills.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in asbestos consulting and project management.
  • IP402, IP404 & IP405
  • Certified Asbestos Assessor and Certified Asbestos Removal Supervisor qualifications.
  • Strong knowledge of asbestos regulations, including NZ WorkSafe guidelines.
  • Proven track record in successfully managing asbestos projects and delivering exceptional client service.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • A commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
