Crane Brothers, and its brand partners, are renowned tailors of high-quality contemporary menswear, including suits, shirts, ties, and accessories.

We are currently looking for an experienced Accounts Manager to join our team.

You will be responsible for providing seamless financial and operational support to all Crane & Son entities. This will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Reconciling daily sales across Shopify and Lightspeed platforms.
  • Monitoring customer transactions and processing contra entries
  • Processing domestic and international payments
  • Producing financial reports, including cash flow forecasts and sales updates
  • Managing Tax (including GST)
  • Overseeing payroll processing and liaising with payroll bureau services to ensure accurate and timely payments
  • Managing shipping and freight processes
  • Assisting with end-of-month reporting and liaising with accountants for financial reviews


To be considered for this position, you will need to demonstrate a minimum 3 years of experience in financial management or accounting. You will also need to have:

  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms like Shopify and inventory systems like Lightspeed.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Xero, Shopify, Lightspeed, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of shipping and customs processes with DHL, FedEx, and NZ Customs.
  • Familiarity with payroll processes and managing payroll bureau services
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • The ability to problem solve and think analytically


This position offers a flexible working arrangement of up to 32 hours per week. Employees are required to be present in the office for two anchor days (to be mutually agreed upon) to facilitate team collaboration, reporting, and in-person responsibilities. The remaining hours may be worked remotely or in-office, depending on workload and operational needs.
