Sushi and More! is a vibrant and popular eatery serving fresh, delicious Korean and Japanese cuisine in the heart of Jackson Street, Petone. We're passionate about providing our customers with an authentic and enjoyable dining experience.

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a General Manager/Chef. This is a unique opportunity to lead and manage all aspects of our restaurant, from menu development and kitchen operations to customer service and staff management.
Location: Lower Hutt, Wellington Work Style: On Site

The role will involve:
  • Leading and managing the kitchen team: Overseeing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring high quality and consistency.
  • Developing and maintaining the menu: Creating new dishes, sourcing fresh ingredients, and managing inventory.
  • Providing exceptional customer service: Ensuring a positive and memorable dining experience for all guests.
  • Managing staff: Delegating jobs to staff members and managing the roster.
  • Controlling costs and maximizing profitability: Managing budgets, inventory, and staff scheduling.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment: Adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Skills, qualifications, and experience
