The Office of Student Experience (OSE) at Massey University plays a vital role in guiding and supporting our students (tauira) throughout their Massey Experience. We focus on empowering students to achieve their goals, engage with the University, and participate in their community while nurturing their holistic growth. As part of the OSE, our Recreation and Fitness Services team offers a range of active recreation opportunities to students, staff, and community members, promoting individual and collective wellbeing and connections.

About the Role:
We are seeking a Receptionist and Administrator to join our dynamic Recreation and Fitness Services team at the Manawatū campus. In this essential role, you will deliver exceptional customer service and collaborate with colleagues to achieve our membership revenue and service plan objectives.

Position Details:

• Hours: 10am – 6.30pm, Monday – Friday
• Weekly Hours: 37.5 hours per week (including a 60-minute lunch break)
• Salary Band: $48,036 - $63,675 based on skills and experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver outstanding customer interactions, ensuring a positive experience for all members.
• Collaborate with the team to drive membership growth and meet service plan goals.
• Support the holistic wellbeing and fitness objectives of our community.
• Ensure the smooth operation of recreation services and provide comprehensive support to our members.

About You:
We are looking for a candidate with:

• A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• A relevant higher-level qualification (or working towards one) is desirable.
• At least 1 year of demonstrated customer service or administrative experience is essential.
• Cash handling and EFTPOS experience is desirable.
• Proficiency in CRM setup and administration of facility software.
• Current first-aid certification (or willingness to obtain and maintain it).
• Proven track record of success in sales, with demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
