Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Welder to join our South Auckland team. This is an excellent career opportunity for a motivated individual looking to grow within a supportive and dynamic environment.
Experience and Skillset Required:
Proven experience as a Welder.
Experience in other mechanical engineering or construction work.
Experience working in an engineering workshop.
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certification in welding (preferred but not required).
Knowledge of metals and their properties.
Welding skills, including an understanding of different welding processes and equipment.
Ability to interpret technical drawings.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Self-motivated and adaptable to different situations.
Ability to make difficult decisions efficiently and a willingness to help others and learn.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and comply with our drug and alcohol policy.

Responsibilities Include:
Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
Performing various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
Inspecting and testing welds to ensure they meet quality standards.
Maintaining and repairing welding equipment.
Collaborating with team members to complete projects on time.
Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment.
Studying plans and drawings.
Cutting, bending, and fitting steel or metal parts.
Making jigs (of wood or metal) that hold parts in place for welding.
Welding parts together.
Repairing and maintaining equipment and machinery.
Constructing metal objects according to instructions.
