A fantastic, permanent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Librarian - Collection Advisory Services in the Library and Learning Services Unit at Auckland Libraries. This is a part-time 32 hour per week role, with some flexibility around work hours.

He angitūtanga: The opportunity
Day to day, key tasks of the role will include:
- Provide collections expertise to community libraries and support research centres and back catalogue management.
- Train and guide staff in using collection management tools and processes to ensure appealing collections.
- Contribute to the ongoing management of IMMS and the establishment and daily running of the Book Hotel facility in Albany.
- Participate in key projects as required to enhance library services.

Some key attributes & skills needed for this role include:
- Strong understanding of collection management and enthusiasm for leveraging technology.
- Can-do attitude, problem-solving skills, flexibility, and a vision to handle diverse tasks and projects.
- Collaborative team player with some coaching ability, generous with knowledge, and eager to learn from others.
- A willingness to travel around Auckland; driver's license preferred.
- LIANZA professional registration obtained, or actively working towards

This role is a band F, we would be looking to appoint the successful candidate at a salary of between $73K - $86K dependant on experience.
