This role will be reporting into our Core Banking Tribe Lead and will lead cross-functional Squads working on SAP. You will be accountable for delivering the squads' outcomes, which include a role in the modernisation of ASB's core banking systems, delivering exceptional experiences and driving business value. All whilst managing the day to day performance and maintaining a lens on risk, compliance and cost.
This CXO will be technically minded and focused to drive out strategic goals whilst efficiently running our technology.
- Builds and maintains a clear understanding of customer needs and continuously builds and communicates the roadmap to stakeholders
- Collaborates with our internal customers to create and maintain well-groomed backlogs
- Conveys the strategic vision and the Tribe's goals to the squads, ensures this is upheld throughout delivery and helps the squads make decisions on innovation and prioritisation
- Collaborates with Vendors, Suppliers and Partners to build and deliver modern features that enables our front lines to provide better customer experience
- Closely works with the Suppliers Product Teams to keep abreast around their product roadmap and identify opportunities that would benefit our users and customers
- Builds and drive collaboration within the Tribe, and across the wider leadership team to manage risks and dependencies, perform controls, and remove blockers
- Balances a broad range of end-to-end squad activities, alongside the release and change management processes for new to market innovative products and services
- Defines, prioritises and refines squad and tribe backlogs; considering the future direction of banking, value benefits and significant and shifting legislative requirements
- Fosters innovation by enabling a safe learning culture
- Manages and maintains the lifecycle of the critical services
Ngā mea kia whai angitū ahau? | What do I need to be successful?
- Technical Product Ownership experience in an agile environment, delivering services and products.
- A technical background, preferably in development and SAP.
- Strong commercial skills to lead stakeholder discussions around prioritisation for their products and services.
- Experience in the strategic and operational implementation of SAP platforms in the context of enterprise resource planning and business process management.
- A comprehensive technical background and experience around Availability, Resilience, and Cyber concepts.
- Familiarity with modern technology paradigms including APIs, cloud, event-driven architectures, and microservices.
- Courage to challenge the status quo and an openness to make change based on feedback.
- Collaborative stakeholder management, understands the needs of others and can adjust own approach and guide other to reach alignment to deliver customer outcomes
