About the Role

84 Recruitment are supporting a well-known organisation based in Christchurch who are embarking on a major transformation programme. We are looking for a Technical Lead to play a key role in delivering an ERP and HCM implementation. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in modernising enterprise systems and shaping the digital future for a respectable NZ entity.

As the Technical Lead, you will be responsible for the end-to-end technical execution, ensuring seamless integration, data migration, and alignment with strategic objectives. You will collaborate closely with enterprise architects, functional teams, and external vendors to deliver a high-quality solution.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Delivery & Strategy – Own the technical roadmap, ensuring milestones, dependencies, and resources are effectively managed.
Integration & Data Migration – Oversee system integrations and data migration, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and performance.
Governance & Quality Assurance – Establish frameworks for consistency, quality, and risk mitigation across all technical workstreams.
Cross-Team Collaboration – Work closely with enterprise architects, functional leads, and leadership to align technical strategies.
Leadership & Team Management – Provide technical direction and oversight to internal teams and external vendors.

What You Bring:

• Strong expertise in ERP/HCM, with a preference for Workday experience.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale technical implementations, ideally in large enterprise environments.
• Deep understanding of system integrations, data migration, and cloud-based ERP solutions.
• Experience in technical governance, risk management, and quality assurance.
• Excellent communication skills – able to bridge the gap between technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.
