Job Description

Come and join our close knit team in Pukekohe, Auckland, New Zealand making luxury socks.

We are looking for experienced (at least 3 years) Hosiery knitting machine operators/technicians for our day and night shifts.

This role will entail,

  • Running Sangiacomo & Lonati machines to produce socks in various yarns and styles.
  • Twisting yarns for knitting when needed,
  • Prepare machines for operation by selecting and installing components for specialised functions,
  • Set and operate the controls used to regulate processing operations,
  • Start machines and monitor their operation to detect faults and ensure effectiveness of operation,
  • Position and feed machines with yarn,
  • Repair broken yarns by tying and splicing ends,
  • Examine finished products for defects and variations, reporting faults in machines, and carries out quality control procedures.
  • Co-ordinating with the other shifts to ensure production deadlines are met,
  • Assisting in the control and storage of the Hosiery yarn in the yarn store,
  • Repairing the machines should breakdowns or "smash ups" occur.


If you have design system experience that would be an advantage.

This is a full time (40 hours) permanent role with remuneration between $30 and $40 depending on experience.

You will need to be able to communicate in spoken and written English
You will need to be able to pass a drug test.
