Kaleo Designs is an exciting new premium brand of NZ designed apparel and accessories with a retail shop in Kerikeri, plus online business. We offer a range of custom-designed products that feature original NZ art created by local artists.

We offer a unique shopping experience, featuring quality and locally designed products that all showcase our exclusive prints and artist collaborations. We extend genuine hospitality and excellent service to our customers and enjoy sharing the stories behind Kaleo’s creations. We are excited to instil in our visitors a sense of appreciation and enthusiasm for our brand, and our local expression!

We are considering applications for full time and part time positions.

Your Role:

  • Welcome and engage with customers, to ensure they receive EXCEPTIONAL customer service.
  • Understand and be attentive to customer’s needs at all times.
  • Ensure customers are well informed about our products, current promotions, reward programs, etc.
  • Promote and sell products with honesty and helpfulness to ensure a good fit for the customer.
  • Assisting customers with merchandise options (proper sizing, colour choices, collecting items from back inventory, etc).
  • Process customer transactions both in store and online orders.
  • Assist with in-house screen printing of garments (with training provided).
  • Receive and unload new shipments- some lifting and organizing of boxes required.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels on display
  • Assist with inventory counts and pricing.
  • Merchandise products and window displays
  • Normal cleaning duties to maintain a tidy, attractive and safe environment.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in retail, hospitality or other customer- facing role.
  • Excellent customer service skills and willingness to go the extra mile to ALWAYS put the customer first and ensure they enjoy a memorable experience with us.
  • Highly reliable and responsible.
  • Great personal presentation, with attention to be tidy and pleasant at all times.
  • A natural people-person, confident in initiating and building connections with all types of people.
  • Positive can-do attitude and passionate team player willing to take initiative
  • Willing and fast learner with good focus and attention to details
  • Skills in graphic design ( Adobe Illustrator) are preferred, but not required.
  • Must be NZ citizen or hold valid work visa.


Shop hours are 9:30 to 5:30 daily. 7 days a week. Some week-end work will be required.
