Join our Measurement & Monitoring team, a key part of our Analytics & Insights division, dedicated to enabling accurate and reliable measurement and monitoring of key performance measures for business stakeholders across ASB. Our team supports datamarts, ETLs, reports, dashboards, and extracts to ensure that teams across ASB have the right operational data at the right time to meet their objectives. We work in tandem with other specialised business and data teams to prototype, test, and operationalise analytics solutions.
We are on the lookout for a talented Analytics Engineer to join our Measurement & Monitoring team. In this role, you will be a trusted adviser for our business analytics leaders and analysts, helping us achieve our Data Mesh ambitions. You will lead the data operationalisation capability within the team, working closely with your chapter lead to follow (or develop) chapter standards and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Measurement & Monitoring team to design, develop, and implement data solutions that support accurate and reliable measurement and monitoring.
- Maintain and enhance existing data pipelines and workflows to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Lead the data operationalisation capability within the team, ensuring consistency and standardisation across processes.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for data-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in sprint reviews and planning sessions to ensure timely delivery of features and improvements.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong skills in SQL, SQL Server, and Wherescape RED.
- Experience with Snowflake and dbt is preferred but not essential.
- 7-10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, data modelling, or other related fields.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders and team members.
