Ko tō tūranga – your role


As part of our awesome Frontline you will work collaboratively with the Retail Lead and Area Lead to support a team of Customer Champions within a Retail Store. The Floor Lead is the most senior role in the store in the absence of the Retail Lead, who is responsible for coaching and mentoring the Customer Champions and enabling them to work towards KPIs.



Please note that our Talent team are exercising our freedom to spend quality time with our whanau during the holiday season. Therefore, we will be in contact with you upon our return from the week of the 6th of January 2025.



Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do

  • Support the Retail Lead to lead a team of Customer Champions
  • Work closely with the Retail Lead, Area Lead, Market Lead, HRBP and People & Planning to ensure employee resource requirements are met, including the creation of rosters
  • Ensure customers are completely satisfied with their One New Zealand Retail experience i.e. their needs and expectations are met or exceeded
  • Deliver the sales numbers
  • Work closely with the Retail Lead and the Talent Acquisition team to recruit new team members
  • Ensure the growth and development of your team in conjunction with the Retail Lead and Enablement team
  • Work with the Retail Lead to ensure the operational running of the store

  • Retail or Telecommunications experience is preferred
  • Experience working to Sales targets
  • Strong customer service experience
  • At least 6-12 months of experience coaching, mentoring or managing others
  • Aspirations to be a people leader.
  • Comfortable working rotational shifts including evenings and weekends
  • Motivation to stay current with technology & pursue informal learning (on the job, via colleagues) to deepen your knowledge within the industry
