We are looking for an experienced senior executive Business Development Leader who exhibits the key behaviours of Competitiveness, Urgency, Frequent Change, Resilience, Versatility, and creativity needed to generate and qualify business opportunities into new revenue streams.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

As an experienced senior executive Business Development Leader, your responsibility will be to:

  • generate new business opportunities that drive sales growth and profitably to meet budgetary targets and support the operations teams to retain key sector contracts and clients;
  • confidently and competently lead all steps in the Sales Funnel Process, CRM, and slope of Influence execution.
  • constant collaboration with the operations leaders within the business, to channel all skills and knowledge, so that optimal success will be the result for our clients and our business;
  • take leadership of the strategic tender identification, bidding, and internal approval procedures to ensure commercially sound, competitive, and profitable financial deals;
  • proactively seek and identify a new business to ensure we maximise all opportunities for new business growth within our sectors;
  • support national/regional group bid opportunities in a collaborative and conscientious manner to retain existing contracts by introducing new innovations over the life of the contract with the operations team;
  • communicate with all "C-suite" external clients and be able to demonstrate convincing, storytelling, and innovative solution propositions.

  • The ability to recognise sound market opportunities that exist for Compass Group and develop business strategies to meet this with commercial acumen, bid writing understanding, and inspirational presentation skills within both the catering and support services sectors of the market.
  • The capability to develop a sound commercial deal for the organisation that represents the best value to the client.
  • The confidence and ability to communicate at all levels - internally and externally - Building key "C-suite" networks and relationships.
  • Hospitality, retail service, or facility management experience- in operations and/or sales/marketing.
  • Support Services; soft FM, cleaning, concierge, security, asset management, and front-of-house meeting room booking organisation and management.
  • Marketing experience and understanding of strategic thinking within a roadmap execution.
  • Sound client relationship skills, with demonstrable success across multiple levels.
  • Commercially savvy
  • A BCom, MBA qualification is preferred.
  • Senior leadership position and or director business-level experience
