Mō te tūnga | About the role

IDEA Services supports people with intellectual disabilities to enjoy great lives at home and as part of their community.

As a Support Worker you will be supporting clients with complex needs, managing risk, ensuring safety, and providing individual care throughout the night. We would prefer someone who has previous experience working within the disability sector or aged care.


Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring

  • Preferably previous experience in caregiving or providing personal care for adults.
  • A calm nature and confidence to work with challenging behaviours.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleepover shifts.
  • Comfortable and proficient in using computers and tablets daily.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support.
  • Full NZ driver's license.
