Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Machine Operator / 2IC to join our client's food production team in Onehunga. This is a dynamic role for a highly motivated individual who can manage various tasks, including order picking, stock control, and machinery operation. The position also involves lifting, clerical work, and supervising a small team. If you are a reliable and proactive team player with leadership potential, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Picking ingredients and orders for food production, ensuring accuracy
- Manual lifting of up to 25kgs
- Managing inwards and outwards goods efficiently
- Overseeing stock control, stock orders, and inventory management
- Inputting orders into the computer system
- Operating forklifts to move goods within the warehouse
- Assisting in the smooth running of production operations
- Supervising and supporting junior team members when needed
Skills & Requirements:
- Proven experience as a machine operator or in a similar food production role
- Strong multitasking ability and time management skills
- Forklift license (preferred)
- Walkie Stacker
- Ability to lift up to 25kgs manually
- Experience with stock control and order input systems
- Good computer skills for data entry and order processing
- Team leader qualities with the ability to manage a small team as 2IC
- High attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards
Hours - 8am-4:30pm Monday to Friday
Pay- $27- $28ph depending upon experience
