What You’ll Do

• Lead machine learning projects from concept through deployment, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
• Design, build, and implement machine learning models that solve business challenges and optimise recruitment workflows.
• Conduct research to identify new AI/ML technologies and integrate them into ZEIL’s platform.
• Partner with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to deliver seamless, AI-driven features.
• Lead the preprocessing and preparation of data to ensure high-quality model inputs.
• Continuously refine models to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
• Establish and manage pipelines for model training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.

Key Requirements

• Eligible to work in New Zealand.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; a Master’s or PhD is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in machine learning or artificial intelligence roles.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Hands-on experience deploying models in production environments, preferably on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with LangChain and LlamaIndex frameworks.
• Familiarity with vector databases such as Milvus and Pinecone.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Beneficial Skills/Experience

• Experience with MLOps tools and practices.
• Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) or computer vision.
• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop).
• Background in developing AI-driven SaaS solutions.
• Exposure to the recruitment or HR tech space.
