About the role
Discover our fish processing division located in Timaru, central to mountains, lakes, and the sea. We process various fish species from our deep-water vessels and independent ACE fishers. Our facility operates three shifts daily to support day, night, and part-time operations, while our joint venture with San Won keeps the unloading of our vessels and storage facilities busy year-round. You will find a variety of our beautiful New Zealand seafood products in our retail shop located on site.
This role is located at the Timaru Port. Reporting into the Coordinator - Cold store, the Logistics Operator, will be assisting the Logistics coordinator in the day-to-day storage and distribution of frozen seafood product.
Responsibilities:
- Forklift driving
- Stacking and organization of product up to 5 meters high
- Interacting with customers and suppliers
- Loading and unloading trucks
About you:
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Cold store team, you will be responsible in assisting with the day to day running of the Cold store. Forklift experience would be preferred but not essential.
What we're looking for:
- A reliable and good work ethic
- Physically fit, role includes heavy lifting of up to 20kg
- Able to use initiative, take direction and work well within a team as well as on your own
- Able to work Monday to Friday - 6:00 - 14:30
