ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is looking for a technical expert with an analytical mindset who is eager to tackle a challenge. As a part of our clients’ transformation from a legacy application environment to a cutting-edge cloud services organisation, this role has been newly created to be the bridge between the architectural and development teams.

As the ideal candidate you will have a strong technical background and will have a hands-on knowledge of cloud native environments, DevOps, CI/CD, microservices and containerisation. To be successful in this role you will be capable of utilising your knowledge to understand and identify what technical tools to deploy for different use cases. You will also be confident leading from the front, gathering requirements and using these to generate processes and structures for efficient operation in ambiguous environments.

This is a rare opportunity play a central role in all aspects of an organisational realignment, where you will be able to truly showcase your abilities as a jack of all trades and have an influence right across the organisational landscape. This is an excellent opportunity for someone from a technical background with business facing skills to develop themselves towards opportunities to lead at a strategic level!

DUTIES

  • Work directly with the architecture team to replace technical debt.
  • Produce and articulate proof of concept designs to development teams.
  • Create new processes and frameworks to reflect business requirements and increase technical and agile optimisation.
  • Technically strong in serverless cloud environments working closely with service designers and architects to design solutions


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with SDLC, cloud services, cloud native environments, modern development languages and support structures
  • Hands-on knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, Microservices and Containerisation.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
  • Prior experience with Data Analysis.
  • Experience working with Architects/Business Leaders to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Very strong communication skills to bridge the gap between customer facing products and bespoke IT solutions.
