Situated in our Manuwera Leisure Centre as a Recreation Assistant no two days will be the same! You’ll help us deliver an exciting range of activities and school holiday programmes, from to other sporting activities, and more!

The Shifts:
15 hours per week (Monday - Friday 2.30 -5.30pm)

In this frontline role, your responsibilities will include, basketball refereeing, basketball coaching, delivering exceptional service to our customers and visitors supporting with the delivery of a variety of exciting programmes for children, helping the Centre maintain a caring, fun and safe fitness and leisure environment, assisting with Centre management with administration and operational duties; and supporting with Centre activities including sporting leagues and daily timetabled programs.

You’ll already be passionate about sports and recreation, and ready to step into a frontline customer service role. It goes without saying that you’ll be responsible when it comes to working with children. You’ll have a flexible approach and be able to use your initiative to facilitate suitable programs for kids. An enthusiastic team player, you’ll have a positive attitude and infectious energy and be committed to providing your customers with an exceptional experience.

Ideally, you’ll hold a First Aid Certificate and have an understanding of health and safety procedures. While previous experience working with children is beneficial, it’s not essential. Importantly, you’ll be committed to maintaining a high degree of professionalism in your work.

Shifts include: Monday-Friday and be OSCAR afterschool hours 2.30-5.30pm. Clean drivers license essential.
