Job Description

We’re looking for a registered electrician to join our small, growing team in Marsden Cove!

Manaia Marine is a family run marine engineering business based in Marsden Cove. We provide electrical and mechanical services for launches and sailing vessels around Northland.

As an electrician with us you’ll be based out of our workshop in Marsden Cove and working for our clients at marinas, hardstands and occasionally on vessels at private residences.



You’ll need:

  • NZ registered electrician
  • Experience with 12v and 24v DC systems
  • Working knowledge of ASNZ3004 & ASNZ3010
  • Interest in mechanical engineering and proficiency with basic engineering tasks (or willingness to learn)
  • NZ citizenship, residency or open work visa
  • English as first language or fluent - you will need to be able to read & understand instruction manuals for complex electrical systems
  • Good communication skills
  • Clean criminal record



Experience in any of the following is a bonus:

  • DC solar panel system installations
  • RV experience e.g. installing inverters, solar etc
  • Victron systems
  • Boating and or marine experience
