Mō te tūranga | About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager Financial Crime Transaction Reporting Governance, and as a key member of the Transaction Reporting Governance Team, the focus of this role is to develop, embed and maintain a transaction monitoring and reporting framework, working with key stakeholders across the value chain to ensure the effective and efficient management of financial crime risk obligations.

You will:

  • Collaborate closely with the wider teams to ensure Westpac's Financial Crime regulatory reporting framework is fit for purpose, supported by a sustainable control environment and clearly understood across all levels of the organisation.
  • Contribute to the continuous management and uplift of the Financial Crime regulatory reporting control environment
  • Contribute to developing and maintaining Financial Crime transaction monitoring framework and appropriate controls are established for an accurate and effective Transaction Monitoring programme.
  • Collaborate with line 1 and technology teams to ensure best practice, market leading financial crime systems, data and processes are in place.
  • Provide Line 2 oversight and guidance on Transaction Monitoring and the Governance of the Programme.

  • Experience in the banking sector or an organisation subject to regulatory oversight
  • Experience in risk management governance with a focus on policy and oversight Experience in product, payments and/or data analysis.
