Are you ready to lead an award-winning dining experience in one of Wellington’s most iconic locations? One80 Restaurant, nestled in the Copthorne Hotel Wellington, Oriental Bay, is seeking a passionate and driven Food and Beverage Manager to elevate our dining service to the next level.

Renowned for its innovative cuisine, One80 Restaurant has recently garnered industry awards, thanks to the creative genius of our Executive Chef, a celebrated ambassador in the food world. We aim to deliver an exceptional dining journey that delights and inspires.

As Food and Beverage Manager, you will:

  • Collaborate with our Executive Chef to maintain and grow our reputation as a leader in the Wellington dining scene, not only for the restaurant but also for our conferencing and events spaces.
  • Lead by example with hands-on involvement both on the restaurant floor and behind the scenes.
  • Drive revenue and profitability through innovative marketing, promotions, and a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Coach and develop a high-performing, customer-focused team.
  • Manage the operational and financial aspects of the Food and Beverage department, ensuring we exceed expectations.
  • Push boundaries to deliver excellence, ensuring our restaurant continues to win awards and exceed customer expectations.


To thrive in this role, you will:

  • Be an assertive and organised leader with the ability to inspire and engage your team.
  • Have strong financial acumen, including experience managing budgets, forecasting, and optimising revenue.
  • Be passionate about hospitality and skilled at crafting memorable guest experiences.
  • Possess excellent marketing and promotional abilities to attract new guests and retain loyal customers.
  • Be hands-on, proactive, and committed to working collaboratively with our Executive Chef and the wider team.
